Producer/Screenwriter - Karen Webb

Karen WebbAward-winning filmmaker, Karen Webb, wrote and produced Is He Real or Not? Karen is also the 2008 Winner of the Manhattan Short Film Festival Screenwriting competition, Moondance Film Festival finalist (Colorado), and Vail Film Festival (Colorado) semi-finalist for her short script Arthur's Salvation. Her feature-length script, Christmas Cake, has been named a 2009 Finalist in the Beaufort Film Festival (South Carolina), has been named the First Prize winner in the 2008 Rhode Island International Film Festival, a Finalist in the New Hampshire Film Festival, and a Semi-Finalist in the Moondance Film Festvial Screenwriting competition. Karen's feature-length script, Seven Day Auction, a third place winner in the Romance Writers of America/Scriptscene Screenwriting competition, has been optioned by a Hollywood producer and is currently in development. Karen also co-wrote Let It All Out, the Best 49 Hour Film for the 2005 Providence 48 Hour Film Festival. Karen is also co-producing a documentary film on the Boston Red Sox and spirituality, The Joy of Sox, currently in editing. The film, Green Grass, a 2nd place winner in the 2007 Vail Festival Screenwriting Competition which she wrote and produced, just came off its 2008 festival run where it screened at the Roxbury Film Festival in Boston, the Flint Film Festival in Flint, MI, at the Pawtucket Film Festival in Pawtucket, RI, and for the Rhode Island Film Collaborative in Providence, RI. Owner Pinch Hit Productions, LLC, and Pinch Hit Marketing. Former Director, Global Event Marketing, EMC Corporation (corporate video, corporate events, marketing strategy, product positioning.) Karen is a graduate of the screenwriting program at Emerson College, has an MBA from the Babson Graduate School of Business, with post graduate studies at MIT, Harvard, and Babson.

Director/Producer/Editor - Dawn Anderson

Dawn AndersonDawn Anderson has been acting and directing for Enter Stage Left Theater and other local theaters for over ten years. As a film maker, she has produced several shorts for the annual comedy ESL Live! as well as specialty pieces for other ESL Theater productions. She has written and produced two previous independent shorts under the Lighten Up, Ladies, Productions name: Faux Pas and Play Date. Anderson has done commercial work for television, voice work for industrial projects and much live performance work. Her stage directing credits include Steel Magnolias, The Sneeze, Painting Churches, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Faith County. Among her acting credits are the title role in Educating Rita, Melissa in Love Letters, Vera in 'Night, Mother, Ida in The Cemetery Club, and Christine in Bad Seed. Anderson is the director, cinematographer and editor of Is He Real or Not?

Actor - Anne McHugh Schneider

Anne McHugh SchneiderAfter numereous productions at Boston College, Anne returned to acting in Baby at TCAN in Natick, MA, as well as roles in Enter Stage Left Theater productions of Hooray for Hollywood, Lullaby of Broadway, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Neil Simon's London Suite. In her spare time she is raising 3 beautiful daughters with her husband Neil in Hopkinton, MA. Anne is making her film debut as the mother in Is He Real or Not?



Actor - Madison Dragsbaek

Madison DragsbaekMadison started to pursue her love of the theater in 2007 when she was cast as an orphan in Annie Jr. with Enter Stage Left Theater in Hopkinton, MA. She also played the role of Sharpay in High School Musical and most recently she was the Narrator in Willy Wonka's Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Madison also likes to sing and has had private lessons for the past 4 years. She is a member of the Drama club at the Hopkinton Middle School and looks forward to a career in acting. Madison plays the neighborhood bully in Is He Real or Not?

Marty BlackEagle-CarlFounder/Managing Artistic Director of Algonkuin Theatre Company, He has worked as an actor or director for many theatre companies in Massachusetts and Connecticut in such shows as 45 Seconds From Broadway, A Comedy Of Errors, Much Ado About Nothing, Othello, The Taming Of The Shrew, The Fall Of The House Of Usher, Medal Of Honor Rag, No Sex Please, We're British, Down River, Amen Corner, Macbeth, The Amistad, Joan Of Lorraine, The Balcony, The Flies, Twelfth Night, Night School, The Tempest, As Is, Jesus Christ Superstar, Anna Lucasta, Moonchildren, Yes, We're Talking About Aids, Prom Night '64, Hair, Nightwalk, The Crucible, Romeo & Juliet, and Fiorello.

His next gig is directing Shakespeare in the Parks: HAMLET for Algonkuin, in Norwood, Whitinsville, Holliston and Uxbridge, MA.

Actor - Jennifer Karlin

Jennifer KarlinJennifer Karlin is making her film debut as the Tooth Fairy in Karen Webb's Is He Real or Not?. She studies piano at Enter Stage Left Theater in Hopkinton and has participated in several of its theater productions, such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Rocky Horror Show, Steel Magnolias, and the upcoming Broadway to Hollywood. Jennifer graduated from UMass Amherst with a B.A. in History and Political Science and earned her Juris Doctorate from New England Law, Boston.

Composer - Barbara Kessler

Barbara KesslerIn 1995 Barbara's debut album Stranger to this Land was released, to great critical acclaim. It won Boston Music Award's "Outstanding Debut Folk Album" honor, and was also selected as one of Performing Songwriter Magazine's top 12 independent albums. That year Barbara was also named the National Academy of Songwriter's Female Acoustic Artist of the Year. Barbara spent much of the 90's touring and winning contests, and eventually was approached by Jerry Marotta (drummer to renowned musicians such as Peter Garbriel and Paul McCartney) about producing a studio album. Currently she is producing music for companies like Sony Playstation, and her songs are also featured on TV shows such as The Young and the Restless.

Actor - Erin Webb

Erin WebbErin made her film debut as a ghost in Director Jason Vescera's At The Yard," a film shot for Steven Spielberg's FOX TV show,On The Lot. Other film work includes Green Grass, (Pinch Hit Productions); The Edge of Darkness (Mel Gibson/GK Films); The Joy of Sox, (Two Cousins/Pinch Hit Productions); Second Job (Two Sisters Productions), and two student films. Erin has also appeared in Showtime's Brotherhood (Season 3, Episode 5) and in a Liberty Mutual television commercial Carnival (Hill Holliday.) Erin has studied ballet and jazz for the past five years, appearing in several recitals and dance shows, and has appeared in local theatre/school productions of The Cat in the Hat, Annie Jr, and other children's plays. She plays the lead role of Erin in Is He Real or Not?


Actor - Brad Walker

Brad WalkerBrad Walker studied theater at Washington University in St. Louis and in London in the Globe Theatre Program. He has appeared in numerous theatrical productions including: Plenty, Blue Moon Rising, Ghostway, Macbeth, Amadeus, Antigone, The Diary of Ann Frank, and The Bad Seed. He has directed: The Sand Castle, Uncle Vanya, Arsenic and Old Lace, and An Ideal Husband. He has appeared in the film Green Grass. Brad is currently earning his place in heaven by teaching 9th graders history at Needham High School. He plays the Dad and looks forward to finding out If He's Real or Not? He hopes he is.

Actor - Steve Sullivan

Steve SullivanSteve Sullivan's first acting role ever was as Matthew in Enter Stage Left Theater's 2000 production of Anne of Green Gables. Since then he has appeared in a number of ESL's shows, such as The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Lullaby of Broadway, Hooray for Hollywood, Bye Bye Birdie, All My Sons, Death of a Salesman, The Christmas Carol, Joseph and the Amazing Techniclor Dreamcoat, ESL Live!, and the USO Tribute shows. Steve has also worked with the Southborough Players in a Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, 1776, The Crucible, and The Wizard of Oz. Steve lives in Hopkinton and, according to his wife Eileen, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Actor - Peter Grill

Peter GrillPlaying the role of Cupid in Is He Real or Not?, Peter returned to his acting roots after a 20-year respite. Prior to his role as Cupid, Peter was recently seen as Joseph's brother, Zebulun, in the Enter Stage Left Theatre production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. In real life, Peter plays the role of husband to one of the founders of Enter Stage Left Theater and is actively involved behind the scenes in most of their productions.

Liam WelchLiam Welch is making his film debut in Is He Real or Not? Liam graduated from Uxbridge High School and is currently a pharmacology student at Worcester State College.
